Dear Harbor 20 Sailors.
Please join us for fun, food, and drink on June 21 for the Summer Solstice Party!
The plan is to race our Harbor 20's from AYC to the Sherwood Forest marina on Brewer Creek off the Severn River.
Tim and Susan Bloomfield will host the party at their house right next to the marina.
The theme of the party is 60's attire. We encourage you to let your mind drift back to the Summer of Love, get groovy, and hip. Dig deep into your closet for those tie dye t-shirts, bell bottoms, and hot pants that you haven't worn yet this year. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. Prizes for best costumes will be awarded.
To check how much you remember of the 60's, we have a 60's trivia contest with fabulous prizes.
There will also be a make your own burgee contest. Make a burgee at home and bring it to the party. The top burgee will receive a prize. Criteria for judging include creativity, imagination, and the burgee that best represents the spirit the of the Harbor 20 fleet.
Here's what you need to know:
Date: June 21
Time: The race will start at 11 am. Sailing Instructions will be published about one week prior to the party.
I need one or two volunteers to drive chase boats to escort the fleet to and from the party.
For those that wish to drive, please park in the parking lot of the Marina at Sherwood Forest. I recommend that you arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 for the finish of the race.

I will provide directions and code for gate about one week before party
Parking: At the Sherwood Forest Marina parking lot immediately adjacent to Tim's house for cars.
For sailors, we will tie boats to the T head at the end of the first dock of the Sherwood Forest marina on Brewer Creek which will also be the finish line.
Dress: 60's attire encouraged but not mandatory
Beverages: Soda, water, beer, and wine will be provided.
Food: POTLUCK
